MORO SHINES UPON HIS RETURN

MORO SHINES UPON HIS RETURN

Forest Rangers started their second round with a trip to Lumwana the new home ground for Kansanshi Dynamos in week 18 of the MTN Super League.

An exciting match , spoils shared, ending 2 apiece . Forest coming from behind twice to salvage a point which would move them 2nd on the log.

In the 10th minute, Forest got a freekick outside the box which was taken by Clifford Mulenga and directed at Moro, who’s header missed the crossbar by an inch.
At the half time break the home side enjoyed their slender 1-0 lead.

Three minutes into the second half, debutant Moro Amenu dribbled his way into the box and with a powerful shot at the edge of the 18 yard box, he put Forest back in the game assisted by Lazarous Chishimba.

In the 64th minute, Kansanshi’s Ntambwe took a shot at Allan , with a bumpy 18 yard box the ball bounced awkwardly into the back of the net, putting the home side back in the lead.

Four minutes later, another brilliant header from Moro bounced off Scott Mwanza and the rebound was tapped in by Eric Chomba for his first goal of the season.

In the 79th minute, another new signing, Monday Bwalya made his Debut replacing veteran Clifford Mulenga.

In a post match interview , Forest Rangers head coach Ian Bakala said he thought Forest was the better side but they just failed to convert their chances to collect all 3points but he added that a point was better than a loss.

Coach Boyd Mulwanda was not happy with the performance of his team, because they had the opportunity to keep the lead twice. He attributed this to some injuries in the team which resulted in the absence of his key players.

This point takes Forest up to second position, with 30 points, 6 points behind log leaders Power Dynamos.

Forest entertain Kabwe Warriors at Trade fair grounds in the week 19 fixture.
