09 Feb FAZ APPROVES DOLA HILL STADIUM FOR FOREST’S HOME GAMES
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has given Dola Hill Stadium in Ndola provisional clearance as an MTN Super League venue.
This means that Forest Rangers will use Dola Hill for its home games beginning this weekend when they face Chambishi FC in a Week 23, on Saturday 11th February, 2023.
Since the 1980s, Forest Rangers have called Dola Hill Stadium home, but not in the recent past as the team found shelter at Levy Mwanawasa stadium and trade fair grounds for all its home matches due the bad state of infrastructure.
But after years of absence the team is finally back home. The stadium has received a face lift, Works on this facility which began in August 2022 have seen Dressing rooms transformed, the pitch reinforced, Terraces for VIP & VVIP upgraded, Ablution blocks, water reticulation, the Wall fence built and surroundings all improved to an acceptable standard.
This is just the first phrase to ensure the team moves back home and football is brought back to Dola Hill Stadium. The exco team lead by Mr Ray Mumba have promised to continue improving the stadium to ensure it truly feels like a home, one that the team, fans and sponsors can be proud off in due course.
