05 May FOREST HOPE TO KEEP THEIR UNBEATEN RECORD AT DOLA HILL
Since the re-opening of Dola Hill Stadium on the 11th February, 2023, Forest Rangers have remained unbeaten on home turf.
They have hosted three teams so far, Chambishi, Red Arrows and Lumwana Radiants winning two win and drawing once against Red Arrows.
Tomorrow, in Week 32 of the MTN Super League, the Dola Hill community will welcome Power Dynamos who are on the brink of being crowned champions.
In the last three years in the league, Power has only recorded one victory while Forest has recorded three and drawn twice.
Their last meeting was in the only cup game in the country, the ABSA Cup semi-final where Forest crushed Power hopes of bagging a double this season, to qualify to the finals for the first time in their history.
Back to the league, Power have not lost a match in their last 20 league fixtures and will probably be looking to maintain that perfect record as they visit ‘Pampanga’ as Dola Hill is fondly known by it’s supporters.
Power are in search for a point to be crowned champions whilst Forest Rangers, FC Muza, Green Bufflaoes, Napsa Stars and Green Eagles to mention a few are in the chase for the only CAF slot left.
With this in mind, Forest will be looking to win all their remaining three games, starting with tomorrow’s fixture the almost crowned champions to realistically stand a chance to qualify for CAF and hope the two teams above them drop points.
“We all believe we can still qualify for CAF if we win the remaining three games. We learnt so much from our game in Choma and we are ready to apply that in tomorrow’s game against Power.
“Coming to tomorrow’s game it will be a very exciting game for both teams because it will be the first time we will be hosting Power at Dola Hill Stadium and some of our players who joined Power like Laurent Muma and Thomas Chideu will be excited to play against us.” Said Cameroonian Captain Cedric Djeugoue.
Forest are set to host Power tomorrow at Dola Hill Stadium, 15:00hrs.
