MULOMBWA DREAMS BIG

MULOMBWA DREAMS BIG

While everyone at Forest Rangers have fixed their eyes on winning the Absa Cup,midfielder Cephas Mulombwa says is looking forward to winning a hat trick of accolades too.

Forest will face MUZA in the final at Woodlands Stadium on Saturday.

Mulombwa said in an exclusive interview with the club in-house media, that Forest will bring the ABSA Cup to Dola Hill Ground.

“We are ready as a team and we are determined to bring the Cup to Ndola,” he said.

The dribbling wizard Mulombwa is Absa Cup leading goal scorer with two goals and will win the golden boot if no one manages to scorer a hat trick on Saturday.

MUZA’ Andrew Banda and Mulombwa’ teammate Moyela Libamba can finish as top scorer if they score either a goal or brace on Saturday and the leading scorer fails to find the target.

Mulombwa believes by working hard on Saturday he will win three individual awards among the player-of-the-tournament.

“We will fight as a team and on my part I am looking forward to winning the golden boot because I have worked hard since the quarter-finals and I will work hard in final so that I finish as top scorer, player-of-the-tournament and as man-of-the-match. So I will fight,” he said.

Mulombwa scored the solitary goal in a 1-0 over Green Buffaloes in the quarter-finals and was on target when Forest beat Power Dynamos 2-1 in the last four.

With that impressive run, Mulombwa will be among the players coach Ian Bakala will rely on against MUZA.

Mulombwa has also implored the Forest supporters to troop to Woodlands Stadium in numbers and witness the club make history by winning the Absa Cup.
