FASTEST GOAL BY A SUBSTITUTE-MASUMBUKO

Obed Masumbuko on Sunday scored his first goal in the Malembe colour after joining from Nkana FC, over a month ago on a two-year deal.

Masumbuko’s goal was the fastest goal by a substitute so far this season at Forest Rangers.

Coming off the bench for Quadri Kola in the 79th minute, Masumbuko scored Forest Rangers equalizer a few seconds later with just two touches. Unfortunately, Malembe failed to hold on to the lead with Dalisto Lungu scoring the winner for Mutondo Stars.

Despite the disappointing result, Masumbuko will never forget his first goal in yellow.

“We may have not gotten the maximum points we wanted but being able to push my team with a goal was an amazing thing, I look forward to more goals and more wins with the club.” Said Masumboko in an interview with the media team .

Forest Rangers will be back at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday September 23, to face former head coach Ian Bakala who recently moved Nkana FC.
