Forest Rangers Signs Seven New Players And Promotes 4

Forest Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of seven new players and the promotion of four from the developmental side.

The Ian Bakala coached side have acquired the services of midfielder Lazarous Chishimba and forward Moyela Wisdom Libamba both from Indeni.

The duo have each penned permanent two-year deals with the club.

The team has also secured the services of two players from Young Power Dynamos, right-winger Thompson Sindowe and Defender Innocent Ngosa, who have signed three-year contracts.

Other new arrivals are midfielders Gift Lukwesa, Kingsley Mukuka and Gozon Mutale.

The trio have joined on a season long deal from Red Arrows, Green Buffaloes and Green Eagles respectively.

The Bakala-led technical bench has also elevated four players from the junior team ahead of the season.

The promoted youngsters are goalkeeper Leonard Mambwe, defender Andrew Tusanile, midfielder Benson Chali and forward Bwalya Mataka.

Club chairman Ray Mumba is elated with the development and is optimistic that the new players will add value to the team.

“I am excited about this season and the signings we have made because I believe they will make valuable contributions to the team as we work towards our objectives, of competing in the coming ABSA Cup and going for the big one, the League title.” Mumba said.
Meanwhile, Mumba has disclosed that Forest will use Trade Fair Grounds for their home matches that will not be beamed on SuperSport in the first round.

He said the move to relocate to Trade Fair is part of the process of taking the team back to its traditional home ground Dola Hill Ground in the second half of the season.

“We will now move to Trade Fair Grounds this season as the transition back to Dola Hill Stadium in the second half of the 2022/23 season, to take football back where it started from and will only use Levy Mwanawasa Stadium for matches that will be broadcasted live on SuperSport,” he said.

The Chairman further congratulated the new signings and wished the entire team the very best as the 2022/23 soccer season resumes.
